Our Promise:

- We shall be maintaining vigilance with practice hygiene and infection prevention measures in line with WHO (World Health Organisation) and NHS recommendations.
- Sustain the increased time between patients to ensure cleaning possible
- Continue to open the door to patients on arrival, and ask that they do not touch handles and bells etc.
- Ensure practitioners wash hands in line with official guidelines before and after patient contact
- Provide an appropriate hands free access to hand gels for before and after treatment (https://www.nhs.uk/live-well/healthy-body/best-way-to-wash-your-hands/) (See also posters)
- We shall be advising patients to delay treatment if they report flu-like / any infection symptoms
- We are happy to provide on line and telephone support to those who feel this will assist them
- Clients will be asked to use the alcohol dispenser on arrival and on departure, please advise if this is not possible for you. Poster guidance on correct procedure is displayed in practice.
- Payment shall be by card or bank transfer only for this situation
- Only the client will be able to attend in the practice in line with current Government advise.

The virus is thought to spread mainly from “person-to-person”:
A) Between people who are in close contact with one another (within about 6 feet).
- The WHO advises a distance of at least one metre. If someone infected with the coronavirus coughs within one metre of you, you could breathe in the virus through the droplets in the air.
- face to face for at least 15 minutes with someone who has a confirmed case of coronavirus (COVID-19)
- been in the same closed space for at least 2 hours, as someone who has tested positive for the COVID-19 when that person was infectious.

- living in the same household or household-like setting (for example, a boarding school or hostel)
- direct contact with the body fluids or laboratory specimens of a confirmed case
- being in the same room or office for two hours or more

- These droplets can land in the mouths or noses of people who are nearby or possibly be inhaled into the lungs if someone infected with the coronavirus coughs within one metre of you, you could breathe in the virus through the droplets in the air.
- Spread from contact with contaminated surfaces or objects that has the virus on it and then touching their own mouth, nose, or possibly their eyes, but this is not thought to be the main way the virus spreads.
